The return of empties can be secured by charging the customer a deposit. The deposit amount is included in the sales price and will be deducted from the price once the empties have been returned. The deposit will be charged for empties that are not returned. Example: Beverage crates or bottles
Create the packaging as an item with a suitable item group. Example: 0.2 litre bottle, frame for 12 bottles 0.2 litre in the item group Equipment > Deposit items.
Go to the General tab of the item and find the field Returnable in the middle of the input window.
If the item is an individual item, click on the dropdown triangle and select the Item itself as returnable asset. Example: Bottle @ 0.2 litre
Select the RET (return deposit) price group to enter the deposit amount. Example: Bottle of 0.2 litres: RET 0.08 Euro
If the item is a combo item and individual components can be returned separately, select Copy from components. In this case, the deposit amount is entered for the individual components which are in themselves deposit items. Example: Case for 12 bottles @ 0.2 litres consists of a frame and 12 individual bottles
