Creating and Assigning Deposit Items
- Charge a deposit for emptiesM
The return of empties can be secured by charging the customer a deposit. The deposit amount is included in the sales price and will be deducted from the price once the empties have been returned. The deposit will be charged for empties that are not returned. 
 Example: Beverage crates or bottles- Create the packaging as an item with a suitable item group.
 Example: 0.2 litre bottle, frame for 12 bottles 0.2 litre in the item group Equipment > Deposit items.
- Go to the  General tab of the item and find the field Returnable in the middle of the input window. General tab of the item and find the field Returnable in the middle of the input window.
- If the item is an individual item, click on the dropdown triangle   and select the Item itself as returnable asset. and select the Item itself as returnable asset.
 Example: Bottle @ 0.2 litre
- Select the RET (return deposit) price group to enter the deposit amount.
 Example: Bottle of 0.2 litres: RET 0.08 Euro
- If the item is a combo item and individual components can be returned separately, select   Copy from components.  In this case, the deposit amount is entered for the individual components which are in themselves deposit items. Copy from components.  Example: Case for 12 bottles @ 0.2 litres consists of a frame and 12 individual bottles
 
- Create the packaging as an item with a suitable item group.
- Assign a returnable packaging to a consumable itemM
Some sales items contain both consumables and returnable packaging. The return of packaging can be secured by charging a deposit. The deposit amount is included in the sales price and is deducted after returnM. Example: Lemonade in deposit bottles - Create the consumable you want.
 Example: Orange lemonade 0,75l with sales price per bottle

- Enter the packaging unit you want and  Apply from the list of search results. Make sure that a deposit amount has been entered for the packaging in the Returns (RET) price group.
