Customising utilities

  • Use hotkeys

    Many hotkeys have been defined for frequently used functions in Bp Event.

    1. Go to the icon optionen Options tab on the function bar and click on  Hotkeysto see a list of all hotkeys.
      Note: Click in Info Details for a list of all unavailable (assigned and locked) hotkeys.
    2. Click on neu Add to define custom hotkeys.
      Note: Since very many abbreviations are already assigned, use the Alt Gr key+(letter) by preference.
    3. Double-click to change or deactivate hotkeys.
      Note: Hotkeys that cannot be changed are labelled as   locked.
    4. Go to the icon optionen Options tab on the function bar and click on icon optionen Settings to enable the closing of windows by pressing the Esc key.
    5. Many other common hotkeys also work in Bp Event, such as using the Tab key to move between input fields or pressing Ctrl+S to save a record.

  • Restore default settings

    Sometimes, decisions have to be reconsidered or decided on a case-by-case basis.

    1. Go to the icon optionen Options tab on the function bar and click on Ausgeblendente Meldungen Hidden Messages.
    2. Go to Hidden Messages to view all messages for which decisions are remembered.
    3. Open the message and select  Restore default. The message qitrh the query will again be shown in the relevant context.
  • Save standard decisions

    Some user decisions tend to follow distinct patterns. Tell the application to remember your decisions permanently in order to avoid repeated messages.

    1. Go to the icon optionen Options tab on the function bar and click on Ausgeblendente Meldungen Hidden Messages.
    2. Go to More hideable messages to display all messages for which decisions can be remembered.
    3.  Expand the topic and go to the the message you want.
    4. Select your preferred decision.
    5. Save the decision For all users if you are authorised and want to pre-set the choice for the entire company.
    6. Save the decision For this user if the choice is a pre-set for the current user only.
    7. Alternatively, save decisions when and if they occur in the work context by ticking the box "Remember decision, don't show again" below the buttons.

  • Set the number of most recent records

    Most functions in Bp Event offer a list of the HistoryMost recent records in the menu for improved findability. The number of records remembered here can be defined per user.

    1. Go to the icon optionen Options tab on the function bar and click on icon optionen Settings.
    2. Enter the maximum number of entries to be listed under Most recent records.
    3. Click the Save button at the bottom right hand corner.
  • Disable tooltips

    In Bp Event, tooltips are enabled for input fields and buttons on mouseover, but can be disabled individually.

    1. Go to the icon optionen Options tab on the function bar and click on icon optionen Settings.
    2. Tick the box to Disable tooltips.
    3. Click the Save button at the bottom right hand corner.
  • Disable automatic spellcheck

    In Bp event, the spellcheck is enabled for text fields by default, but can be disabled individually.

    1. Go to the icon optionen Options tab on the function bar and click on icon optionen Settings.
    2. Tick the box to Disable automatic spellcheck.
    3. Click the Save button at the bottom right hand corner.
