Customising security settings

  • Change your password

All Bp Event users have individual passwords. Depending on your company settings, users can change their password independently, password assignment is controlled by the Windows domain or by the administrator ().

In general, users can change their own passwords, provided they know the old password and the option has not been disabled by an administrative decision.

    1. Go to the icon optionen  Options tab in the function bar and click on Password  Change password.
    2. First enter your old password, then enter the new password twice.
    3. Confirm the change. The new password will apply as of the next login.
Note: You will be notified if your new password does not fulfil the requirements. If necessary, adhere to strict password guidelines by adding p.ex. special characters, digits or upper and lower case letters.

Users with administrative rights can change user passwords under Administration Administration > Benutzer Users > Benutzer  User by selecting the user they want.

  • Authorise a delegate for yourself or others

Your confidential messages, emails and data records are visible to you alone. If you want other users to access these records, you must authorise them as your Vertreter delegates.

    1. Go to the icon optionen Options tab in the function bar and click on Vertreter Delegation > neu New.
    2. Enter the name of the user who is delegating and the name of the delegate, or delegate group. If you are authorised, you can also create delegations for other users.
    3. Specify the time period for which the delegation is valid.
    4. Tick the respective boxes to authorise the delegate to access Confidential data, Emails or Internal messages.
    5. Notify the representatives of their status automatically when they log in to Bp Event.
