Customising screen settings

  • Create a Favourites tab

    Compile your own tab on the function bar with all the functions and records that are most important to you. You can also add Info Centre views, data sheets or lists.

    1. Open the function bar by left-clicking on the  burger menu in the window bar (if it isn't already open).
    2. Go to the  Options tab and click on  Function bar favourites and settings.
    3. All the functions or other objects already saved on the Favourites tab will appear in a list.
    4. Click on neu Add to select additional entries.
    5. Select a table and either a function (Search, New, Most recent) or an individual data record, then click on ok Apply to confirm your input.
      Ex: Search accounts and Search events, EV 4711
    6. Rename the entries after accepting them to avoid confusion. To do this, click twice slowly on the name of the entry in the list.
      Ex: Search -> Search accounts, Search -> Search events, GG: 02/12/2022 Gannon's Gambits #4711 -> Gannon 2/12/22
    7. Select an entry and click on delete Remove in the toolbar to remove the item for the Favourites tab.
    8. Click on Save to confirm your input.
    9. Your  Favourites tab is the first tab in the function bar.

  • Move the windows on your screen

    Adjust the screen to your needs by setting the size and position of your windows individually, adjusting the colours and auto-opening important windows on start-up.

    1. Open any record, e.g. an account.
    2. Press down your left mouse button and drag the window to your preferred position on any of your monitors.
    3. Adjust the window size as required, then click on the  dropdown triangle next to the window title and select   Window size and position.
      1. Save size and position > only for windows in this table (e.g. accounts)
      2.  Apply to other windows > For all windows/types of records (e.g. accounts, items, events, etc.)
    4. Select  Auto-start from the drop-down menu in the window title for windows you want to open immediately and automatically on login.
    5. You can also open standalone lists in a separate window in a pre-defined position:
      1. Call up the list in the standard window.
      2. In the horizontal toolbar, select Ausgabe Liste Lists > Oeffnen In Neuem Fenster Open in new window.
      3. Position the window and select  Auto-start from the drop-down list in the window title.
    6. You can also select custom window colours for either all records of the same type as the open record (accounts, appointments..), or for all types of windows.
    7. Discard your customisations and go back to the default by clicking  Reset.
  • Change the font and font size in the user interface

    The default fonts in the user interface are Segoe UI for Windows and Lucida Grande for Mac. Other fonts are available, including those developed specially for dyslexia. The font size can be set larger or smaller than the default.
    Hinweis: Je nach gewählter Schriftart oder -größe kann es passieren, dass Texte auf der Oberfläche abgeschnitten werden.

    1. Open the function bar by left-clicking on the submenu burger menu in the window bar (if it isn't already open).
    2. Go to the icon optionen Options tab and click on icon optionen Settings.
    3. Select your font from the picklist. The list shows only fonts that are available on the computer or server.
    4. Select your font size:
      1. Small: -1pt
      2. Large: +1pt
      3. Extra large: +2pt
    5. Click on Save to confirm your input.
  • Save space on the screen

    In the start screen, the function bar is always pinned open. In all other windows, open the function bar by clicking on the burger menu in the top left hand corner. To bring the start screen to the foreground, use the hotkey F2. The quickpick options are alway available in every window bar.

    1. The function bar is closed in most windows to save space. Access it from any data record by clicking on the   burger menu in the left-hand corner of the window bar.
    2. Move individual windows to any of your available monitors as required.
    3. Open windows covered up by other windows can be brought to the front by clicking on the task bar at the bottom of the screen.
    4. Use the controls in the top right-hand corner of the window to  minimise or   maximise the window.
    5. Click on the dropdown triangle next to  to
      a) minimise all windows simultaneously
      b) bring all windows forward
