Für die automatische Ausführung der Datensicherung wird ein Job angelegt. Achten Sie darauf, die Datensicherung außerhalb der Bp Event Nutzung (Server- Neustart) auszuführen und keine parallel laufenden Jobs einzurichten. Für die Konfiguration des Jobs benötigt der Benutzer administrative Berechtigungen.

New Set-up. - Enter a unique name and, if applicable, a title for the job.
- Select the executing service client from the drop-down list.
Hinweis: Zur Lastenverteilung ist es ab Version 12 möglich, mehrere Service Clients in den administrativen Einstellungen einzurichten und die Last der Jobverarbeitung auf die verschiedenen Service Clients zu verteilen. Jobs können einem Service Client fest zugewiesen werden. Ohne fester Zuweisung wird der Job an einem Service Client ausgeführt, welcher zu diesem Zeitpunkt Kapazitäten hat (Load Balancing). Wir empfehlen auf einem Server mit 32GB Speicher und 8 Kernen wenigstens Web Server und Jobs auf den Service Clients zu trennen, bestenfalls auch den E-Mail Abruf auf einem eigenen Service Client.
Beispiel: E-Mail Abruf separat auf einem Service Client, so werden andere Jobs und Web Nutzer nicht gebremst. - Select the type "Data backup" from the drop-down list.
- Select the start time "Series"to start the backup automatically as standard.
- Set the start parameters of the data backup via Series
.
Recommendation: Set a daily backup, at a time outside of Bp Event usage. - Enter the destination directory of the data backup.
Note: The target directory must be on the Bp Event Server. - Enter the number of backups .
Note: 3 backup sets are set by default. The fourth backup automatically overwrites the oldest backup. 
Activate the job in the horizontal toolbar of the input window.
Save and close the job.
Note: Every Bp Event user is informed about a faulty data backup. When logging in, a yellow bar, or after three days a red bar, is displayed with the note of the last successful data backup .
Important: The target directory on the Bp Event Server must also be accessible when the server is started as a service. The service is started under the local Windows user account System and therefore may not be able to access external drives. Make sure that there is sufficient storage capacity on the target drive. The size of the database and thus the required storage space can grow considerably over time. The minimum storage capacity can be calculated as follows:
