Entering cost centres and revenue accounts

Cost centres and revenue accounts can be entered in various places. If there are different cost centres and revenue accounts for an item, a clear hierarchy determines the allocation.

  • Enter cost centres

    Cost centres are used to record where or in which project costs are incurred. There are several places in Bp Event where cost centres can be stored. Cost centres can be stored in each individual item, in the event, in the event segment and per booked item. The more specific the entry, the higher the ranking.

    The following sequence must be observed -> highest to lowest:

    1. Individual assignment in booked items
    2. Assignment in the event segment
    3. Assignment in the event
    4. Assignment in the individual item
  • Enter revenue accounts

    The sales of a company (e.g. goods and services) are summarised in revenue accounts. There are various places in Bp Event where revenue accounts can be entered. The more specific the entry, the higher the ranking. Only enter revenue accounts in the individual item if it is an exception to the entry in the item group.

    Ranking -> highest to lowest

    1. Revenue account from item (per price group)
    2. Revenue account from allocation table under Accounting (item group, per company, per VAT rate)
    3. Revenue account from item group
    4. Revenue account from Administration -> Financial accounting
